While many of Team Active Racing's members took the holiday weekend "off" from competing (although I'm sure many of us got out for a ride or two and enjoyed the fabulous weather), our Clydesdale Tri-Man, Jonah, raced in the Firecracker Triathlon this weekend. Thanks to Jonah for the summary of the race and hope all those reading this had a great (and safe) 4th of July holiday.Yesterday at the Firecracker Tri in Benton Harbor I had a pretty fair day. I beat my second place time from 2007 by almost 7 minutes, but still only managed to come in third in 2008. I felt pretty good about my results, I averaged 25 on the bike and had a solid run and swim. Another tri this coming weekend at Waterloo State Park east of Jackson. This is one that I have struggled with in the past, so I am pretty pumped about it.

On another note, many of us hope to be getting together soon with Kathy & Eric to begin listening to all the stories from their Primal Quest adventure. We'll see if Scott can make it back over to Marshall and figure that Melissa is settled back home on the "other side" of the country. I have been contacted by local media and newspapers wanting to speak with the team and get an update in the papers, so when something "official" comes out, we'll be sure to provide a link to it on this site.
Until next time...
